We assembled our new ASK-21 and flew her all day.  She is well equipped for Minden soaring conditions.  In addition to  the normal training instruments, she has a Mountain High oxygen 
system, L-nav, G-meter, and transponder.  We found her well-balanced  and quiet--a real treat to fly.

We are situated at the eastern edge of the Sierra Nevada escarpment, where prevailing winds tumble into the Carson Valley and generate the most consistent high-altitude mountain wave in the world.  High altitude flights are possible here year-'round using "nature's elevator", and record long distance flights are also possible in mountain wave.  Come give it a go!

At the western edge of America's Great Basin, Minden is also the ideal location to set off on long-distance soaring flights during our summer thermal season.  Come fly hundreds of kilometers  daily between June and September.
